Vittorio Valiante is an Italian artist whose practice unfolds at the point of tension between control and chaos, where technical mastery of painterly language becomes a means of embracing unpredictability. Through dense materiality, irregular gestures, and a palette in constant metamorphosis, Valiante seeks to translate existential sensations into visceral, unstable compositions.

Living and making art on the street has profoundly shaped his sensibility. The contradictions and vulnerabilities of urban life inform a practice that depicts the fragility of contemporary society through the use of industrial paints, reclaimed supports, and rudimentary tools. Raw surfaces and discarded materials confront the refinement of oil painting, producing a visual language that renders harsh realities through poetic and emotionally charged forms.

Recent works incorporate fragments of furniture and abandoned architectural elements that transform into anthropomorphic presences — allegories for a contemporary condition shaped by consumerism, disposability, and the blurred overlap between physical and digital realities. Across the practice runs a persistent investigation into the paradox of progress: systems that simultaneously build and collapse, reducing the human figure to something vulnerable, transient, and expendable.

Valiante completed an Art High School Diploma at Suor Orsola Benincasa, Naples, Italy (2014–2019).

Recent exhibitions include Limen at the Banco di Napoli Foundation, Naples (2026); Le Banquet at A.MORE Gallery Milano, Milan (2025); Punti Di Vista at Gazometro, Rome (2025); The Voyage Out at A.MORE Gallery Milano (2024); and Under Raffaello at Galleria Albani, Urbino (2024).

His work is held in the MU.RO Collection, Milan, Italy.
