257. Jack Jubb - Aggregate relief painting
AOAP Projects x Royal Society of Arts Summer Show
2024
SLA prints, watercolours, acrylic
10 x 15 x 2.5 cm
Jack Jubb works across painting and sculpture, exploring the ways in which art-making and play can become performed microcosms of wider social dynamics. Often drawing on the creative tools and visual languages associated with hobbyists and gamers, he produces edited versions of images and objects that examine narratives of empathy, escapism, and alienation.
Through processes of construction, repetition, and transformation, Jubb’s work considers how identity and emotion are mediated through contemporary culture, balancing humour and vulnerability with a sharp attention to material and form.
Jubb completed a BA in Fine Art at Goldsmiths, University of London (2012–2015).
Recent exhibitions include Between Sight and Breath at Kendall Koppe Gallery, Glasgow (group exhibition, 2026); Later Works at Cell Project Space, London (solo exhibition, 2025); Half-Life at Stems Gallery, Brussels (solo exhibition, 2023); and The Empath at Carl Kostyál, Milan (solo exhibition, 2022).
