Alanna Eakin (b. 1988) is a British painter living and working in London whose practice explores themes of nature, escapism, and nostalgia. Her work is driven by a fascination with colour, light, and abstract mark-making, creating atmospheric paintings that invite viewers into imagined worlds suspended between memory and fantasy. The paintings often function as moments in time with stories attached, allowing space for personal interpretation and emotional connection.

Drawing on references gathered from daily life, travel, childhood memories, and imagined landscapes, Eakin creates dreamlike compositions that blur the boundaries between abstraction and figuration. Her process-led approach begins with considered plans for colour and composition, though the paintings frequently evolve intuitively through the material behaviour of paint itself. Saturated palettes, layered surfaces, expressive gestures, and carefully balanced forms combine to create works that feel both spontaneous and meticulously composed.

Eakin studied Fine Art Painting at Central Saint Martins, London, graduating with a BA (Hons) in 2010, following a Foundation Degree at the same institution (2006–2007).

Recent exhibitions include the Affordable Art Fair with Bleach Box Gallery, Hampstead Heath, London (2026); Love Bites at StolenSpace Gallery, London (2026); Wimbledon Art Fair, London (2025); the Affordable Art Fair with Bleach Box Gallery at Evolution London (2025); Through The Whispering Pines at Glasshouse Contemporary, London (solo, 2025); Revival at Well Hung Gallery, Hoxton (2025); Through Her Eyes at StolenSpace Gallery, London (2025); and The Other Art Fair, Brick Lane, London (2025).
