After more than 10 years as one of the UK’s most recognisable charitable art auctions, Art on a Postcard has re-emerged as AOAP Projects, unveiling its first International Women’s Day auction this March.
The inaugural exhibition signals a decisive shift in format and ambition, replacing the traditional postcard with bold new 5 × 5-inch plywood works and, for IWD, a curatorial vision led entirely by women.
The show is curated by an influential panel including curator and art advisor Claudia Cheng, Cultural Strategy & Communications Consultant, and Working Arts Club founder Meg Molloy, Liminal Gallery director Louise Fitzjohn, and the Women in Art Prize, marking a confident new chapter for the fundraising culture platform led by Gemma Peppé.
All funds raised will support The Hepatitis C Trust and its vital work with women affected by the criminal justice system — a group whose needs are consistently overlooked, whose vulnerabilities are too often treated as criminal, and whose chances of reintegration are obstructed by stigma and structural inequality.
Since 2018, the Trust’s small, peer-led team has delivered women-specific services both in the community and across the female prison estate, raising awareness, tackling stigma, encouraging testing, and supporting women through the treatment pathway.
This auction also marks the final chapter in AOAP’s long-standing partnership with The Hepatitis C Trust. With over 100 artworks available, it offers a meaningful opportunity to support the Trust’s work while acquiring outstanding contemporary art.

Highlights from Claudia Cheng’s selection include Canadian artist Dominique Fung, whose practice explores the intersections of tradition, memory and legacy; German artist Johanna Bath; and Scottish figurative painter Florence Reekie.
Meg Molloy’s lineup features fine artist and Goldsmiths graduate GL Bierley, sculptor and collagist Shauna Cribbin, and interdisciplinary artist Hannah Perry.
Louise Fitzjohn has invited artist and musician Emma Richardson, classically trained painter Fipsi Seilern, and Swedish-born Anna Blom, whose diaristic works respond directly to her environment.
The Women in Art Prize presents submissions from its award winners, including photographer Jenny Lewis, Bianca Raffaella, who as a partially sighted painter relies on touch in her painting process, and Harrogate-born painter Judy Clarkson, known for figures caught in moments of drama or quiet predicament.
The highlights of the AOAP Projects curated lineup are many, but four artists not to be missed are Roxana Halls, best known for her images of laughing, wayward women; British-Nigerian artist Sola Olulode, who creates delicate portrayals of queer love through figurative works; Helen Kincaid, whose work draws on the parallels between painting and our relationship to photographic images and processes; and Iranian artist Fa Razavi, known for large-scale paintings exploring revolution and female resistance.
The AOAP Projects International Women’s Day auction will open online via Givergy from 5–19 March, with a Private View at The Bomb Factory, Holborn on 10 March.
With bidding starting at just £65, the sale offers collectors the rare opportunity to acquire works by highly sought-after artists while supporting an important cause.
