What is Illuminated?
Illuminated is a curated contemporary art sale presented by AOAP Projects in partnership with the Royal Society of Arts.
The exhibition brings together established and emerging contemporary artists, with all works available to purchase online on a first-come, first-served basis.
Who is organising the sale?
The exhibition is organised by AOAP Projects in partnership with the Royal Society of Arts.
AOAP Projects is an evolution of Art on a Postcard, the arts initiative founded by Gemma Peppé in 2014.
Is this an auction?
No. This is not an auction.
All works are sold at fixed prices on a first-come, first-served basis.
When does the sale open?
The sale opens to AOAP Projects newsletter subscribers and RSA Fellows on 9 June 2026.
It opens to the general public on 10 June 2026.
How do I buy a work?
Works can be purchased directly through the AOAP Projects website during the exhibition period. Once a work has been purchased, it is no longer available.
Because many works are expected to sell quickly, we recommend signing up for our newsletter for early access.
How large are the artworks?
All artworks in the exhibition are no larger than 7 x 7 cm.
Are the artworks original?
Yes. All artworks in the exhibition are original works by the participating artists.
Which artists are taking part?
The exhibition includes a wide range of internationally recognised artists, mid-career practitioners and emerging talent.

Can I view the exhibition in person?
Yes. The exhibition will be open to the public at RSA House during the exhibition dates.

Do I need a ticket?
No ticket is required during standard opening hours unless otherwise stated for special events or previews.
Can I reserve an artwork?
Unfortunately, artworks cannot be reserved. Sales are processed on a first-come, first-served basis.
Can I buy more than one artwork?
Yes, subject to availability.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept major debit and credit cards, as well as selected online payment methods shown at checkout.
Can artworks be shipped internationally?
Yes. International shipping is available for most works.
Shipping costs and delivery times vary depending on the destination.
Please note that buyers are responsible for any customs duties or import taxes.
When will I receive my artwork?
We aim to dispatch artworks after the sale closes.
Estimated delivery times are:

UK orders: within 14 working days after the end of the sale

Rest of the world orders: within 30 working days after the end of the sale
Can I collect my artwork in person?
Where possible, collection details will be provided after purchase.
What happens if I purchase a work at the same time as someone else?
The website processes sales automatically in real time. In rare cases where multiple buyers attempt to purchase the same work simultaneously, the completed checkout processed first will secure the artwork.
Are purchases refundable?
Due to the nature of the exhibition, sales are generally considered final.
If an artwork arrives damaged, please contact us immediately.
