Georgina (b. 2000, Auckland) is a London-based sculptor working across metal and textile. Through both strands of her practice, she uses material and object as narrative tools to explore themes of personal and collective history, childhood, family, and the ways memories are constructed, preserved, and retold.
Her sculptures often balance delicacy with weight, combining the tactile intimacy of textile with the permanence and structure of metal. Through this interplay of materials, Georgina investigates emotional inheritance and the relationship between domestic objects, memory, and identity. Fragments, souvenirs, and hand-worked forms recur throughout the work, creating sculptural environments that feel both autobiographical and universally recognisable.
Georgina is currently undertaking a residency at the Sarabande Foundation (2025–2026). She previously completed a BA in Fine Art and History of Art at Goldsmiths, University of London (2021–2024), following a Foundation in Sculpture at Central Saint Martins, University of the Arts London (2019–2020).
Recent exhibitions include Childhood Souvenirs at Soho Revue, London (solo, 2025); Notes From The Studio at Incubator, London (2025); Untitled Miami, Miami, USA (2025); Terra, Burgundy, France (2025); The Bird Is On The Wing at Izena, London (2025); NADA with Soho Revue, New York (2025); Face to Face at 8 Vine Yard, London (2025); When The Curtain Falls at Blue Shop Gallery, London (2024); The Seven Lamps at Hypha Studios, London (2024); And You Would Have To Believe It at Copeland Gallery, London (2024); the Goldsmiths Graduation Show, London (2024); and the Royal Academy of Arts Summer Exhibition, London (2024).
