Victoria Sills works across painting, printmaking, and drawing, using traditional techniques to explore contemporary subjects including mental health and the psychological effects of living within an increasingly technological world. Her practice is driven by a desire to make contemporary art accessible to wider audiences, bridging historical methods with present-day concerns.
Through carefully constructed imagery and tactile processes, Sills examines emotional states, perception, and human vulnerability within modern life. By working with familiar materials and techniques, she creates a visual language that balances intimacy, immediacy, and reflection.
Sills has been an Associate of The Other MA (TOMA) since 2022, following completion of the TOMA alternative postgraduate programme (2019–2021). She previously studied Illustration at the University of Brighton, graduating with a BA (Hons) in 1998.
