Drawing from Romantic traditions, his work brings together archetypal imagery, esoteric symbolism, dream journals, and imagined narratives to create layered, shifting worlds. Stories and fragments of memory act as underlying currents throughout the work, continuously reshaping the painted surface as it evolves through process and intuition.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eApproaching painting as an alchemically charged act, Avi works through cycles of layering, excavation, and material experimentation. Combining diverse techniques, tools, and traditions, he builds dense accumulations of texture and imagery that evoke both utopian interior landscapes and a personal sense of in-betweenness and displacement.
